Melasma Skin Disorder Removal

Melasma skin disorder causes brown and gray- brown patches on the face, mostly around the cheeks, forehead, on the bridge of the nose, above one's upper lip, and on the chin. Other parts of the body where it is common include the neck and the forearms. The primary cause of the disorder is ultraviolet rays from the sun that affect the cells that control pigmentation.

The most shared and natural way of Melasma removal is sun protection, by application of sunscreens and wearing wide-brimmed hats whenever one is outside in the sun. The disorder is common in women during pregnancy. Dark-skinned individuals are at a higher risk of getting the disease than light skinned.

Treating Melasma

Sun protection
Protection of the skin from direct sun rays can reduce the chances of getting Melasma. Use of sun screening products and wearing wide rounded hats can help prevent contact with ultraviolet rays.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels are done on the hand, neck, or the face mostly to fair- skinned patients. They are used to;

Improve individual's look and feel of the skin
Treating skin damages caused by the sun
Reducing melasma (dark patches) resulting from the use of birth control pills

Topical antioxidants
Topical therapy has been used more in treating Melasma than the other techniques. There are multiple options for the use of topical agents that include hydroquinone kojic acid, topical steroids, azelic acid, retinoids, glycolic acid arbutin, and mequinol. Prolonged use of these agents may result in depigmentation.

Reduced use of hormonal agents such as birth control and hormone replacement
Birth control is a primary cause of Melasma, and reduced use of them will reduce the chances of getting the disorder. Read more about shopify website optimization tips.
